My name is Ian and I have been playing guitar for 20 years and have been teaching for the last 5. I Started out playing classic rock, alternative, metal and punk. As I've grown older, my musical tastes have evolved to appreciate other genres such as jazz, neo soul/lo-fi and even country, something younger me would have never admitted. I began my teaching journey in 2020 through zoom lessons and eventually joined School of Rock Newtown. What I enjoy most about teaching is connecting with students and opening their minds to new ideas, musicians, techniques and watching my students grow as not only guitar players, but as musicians as well.
