Janelle R.

Janelle has had a lifelong passion for music, beginning at the age of three. From an early age, she immersed herself in music through various forms of performance and training, beginning formal vocal instruction at eight years old. Throughout her school years, she served as a lead singer in numerous plays and talent shows and was often invited to sing at weddings and special events. Her more recent performance highlights include participating in a showcase with pianist Bruce Hornsby and performing a lead role in the stage production of “Fences,” directed by Kenny Leon. Janelle embraces a wide variety of musical genres — including R&B/Soul, Classical, Jazz, Country, Pop, and Rap — which allows her to connect with students of diverse musical interests. As a vocal coach, Janelle finds deep fulfillment in guiding students as they discover and develop their musical gifts. She believes that confidence and artistic growth come through patience, practice, and personalized instruction. Her teaching approach focuses on identifying each student’s individual learning style to help them strengthen technique, build stage presence, and express their authentic sound. Whether working with beginners or experienced singers, Janelle’s goal is to help every student reach their full musical potential and experience the joy of sharing their voice with confidence.
