Hi, my name is Cortney and I am a guitarist from Spring Valley. I have been a student of music for over 10 years. My musical influences include Dave Grohl and Tom Morello, and I also enjoy Tim Henson. My teaching style can best be described as down to Earth. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I can meet you where you're at and help you grow as an artist/musician. In my lessons, you can expect to learn guitar chords, strings, notes, reading tabs, switching between chords, strumming patterns, finger picking, bar chords, songs with and without a capo, tuning, for both acoustic and electric. I like to tell my students follow your passion and the rest will follow. My favorite thing about teaching is the look on my students ' face when they finally master something they've been working really hard on. My students love that I am patient and supportive.
