Devin began playing guitar and bass at the age of 14. Over the years, he developed his skills further by consistent technical practice and musical understanding. He gained performance experience in the San Antonio area by playing at local venues like Paper Tiger and Vibes Underground. Opening for acts such as Capstan, Being As An Ocean and Saliva at age 16-17. Though Devin can teach various different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are post-hardcore emo, alt metal and indie/shoegaze which had great influence on his style of playing and musical understanding. Devin loves music because “it is a great outlet for various emotions that isn’t confined to any specific set of sounds. For me, it is the sounds that are in my head” He loves teaching music because it takes technical skills and an in-depth understanding of musicality to teach it effectively.
