Hi, my name is Teaira and I am a dedicated piano teacher from Charlotte, NC. I have been a student of music for over 15 years and a teacher for 3 years. My musical influences include classical composers like Chopin and contemporary artists such as Alicia Keys, and I also enjoy exploring jazz improvisation. My teaching style can best be described as patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's unique learning pace. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe every student can unlock their musical potential with the right guidance and consistent practice. In my lessons, you can expect to learn fundamental techniques, music theory, and performance skills. I like to tell my students that progress comes from passion combined with perseverance. My favorite thing about teaching is witnessing the joy and confidence music brings to my students. My favorite performance was a recital where my students played confidently in front any type of audience. My students love that I make learning fun and personalized. I primarily teach classical and contemporary piano, but I can also teach beginner theory and improvisation.
