Allen began DJing at the age of fourteen.. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing over friends houses who had dj equipment. Two years later, I went on to djing house, park district, and school gym events. And it was around this time I got into music production, making beats and rhythms on electronic drum machines and synthesizer keyboards. I further gained dj/live performance experience in the Chicagoland area playing at various venues as Dj Al Groove. Though Allen can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Housem Techno, Electronic, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Reggaeton, Latin, and Pop music, all of which had great influence on his style of playing as a dj and music production. Allen loves music because music is a universal language that brings all peopls, from all walks of life, together. I love teaching music because it is like passing on sacred knowledge and wisdom through the manipulation of sound.
