Kaitlyn began playing percussion at the age of 11 years old. Over the years, she developed her skills further by practicing effectively and pursuing music in college. She’s currently a junior at Texas Lutheran University and is studying Instrumental Performance. She gained performance experience in the percussion area by playing in Texas Lutheran University’s band, orchestra, and choir occasionally. Though Kaitlyn can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical/orchestral which had great influence on her style of playing. Kaitlyn loves music because it brings her joy and loves teaching music because she wants to give her students the same type of ambition for percussion as she has.
