I’m a Cuban musician and music producer with over 20 years of international experience performing, teaching, and creating music across multiple genres. I began my career in Havana, where I worked as a singer-songwriter and producer with EGREM and Bis Music, composing original songs and soundtracks for film and television. Later, I spent nearly a decade in the United Arab Emirates as a performer and instrumental teacher at leading schools such as Al Ain British Academy and Al Ain English Speaking School, teaching guitar, drums, bass, and ukulele to students of all ages. Throughout my career, I’ve directed live bands, recorded albums, and managed projects that blend traditional and modern sounds — from Latin and Pop to Rock and World Music. I currently lead Chico & Yai, an acoustic-electric duo performing across Southwest Florida, and produce original content through Beats by Chico, Free Music Parts, and my wildlife YouTube channel Del Mundo Salvaje. My teaching style combines solid technique and music theory with creativity and real-world experience, helping students build confidence and musical expression through songs they actually love.
