Angelo began his musical journey with guitar lessons at the age of ten. Since 2018 he has been pursuing music professionally, including extensive touring across the country with a number of bands since 2018. As a touring artist, Angelo has achieved humble but notable success, acquiring over half a million Spotify streams, being regularly featured in indie music publications such as Brooklyn Vegan and Stereogum, and signing a short-lived record deal with a major label. His recent work includes collaborations with members of renowned Philadelphia groups like Japanese Breakfast and Balance and Composure. Beyond performance, Angelo has recorded and produced music for a handful of local artists. Angelo is proficient in both guitar and bass, specializing in advanced techniques such as fingerpicking, alternate tunings, polyrhythms and tapping. He also has an intermediate understanding of piano and synthesizers and possesses a strong, practical understanding of musical equipment, including the intricacies of guitar pedals, amplifiers, and signal flow. While trained primarily in indie rock, math rock, emo, punk, shoegaze and folk, Angelo's understanding of musical theory allows him to connect fundamentals to any genre a student wishes to explore. His unique background provides students with an instructor who offers real-world insight into the music industry, balanced by a passion for teaching the "why" behind every musical concept.
