About Me

Hi! My name is Monty and if your interested in learning to play guitar, I would like to help you on your journey. Learning to play guitar or any musical instrument is a skill that will be with you for life. When I was in high school I played football until my senior year when I quit football and started taking guitar lessons. The guys I played football with never played football again after graduation. I am happy to say I am still playing guitar, enjoying it and know I made a great decision signing up to take guitar lessons. My musical interests are broad and include rock, blues, country and folk music. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and have been in several bands over the years. Currently, I play lead guitar on the worship team at my church. My approach to teaching would be learning songs that you would like to learn and also teaching you the music theory of those songs. Your never too old or young to learn guitar. I look forward to hearing from you to answer any questions and getting started making music.
