Amber E.

Hi, my name is Amber and I play the flute and piccolo. I began playing when I was 9 years old in the 4th grade and have been playing ever since. I worked my way to section, leader, first ever student conductor and first ever drum major at my high school, Pace Academy, and went on to become head drum major at my HBCU, Clark Atlanta University. Although I have not formally provided music lessons, I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others. I would often lead sectionals in high school and college, as well as run rehearsal while I was drum major. I enjoy the fact that I have the ability to impart knowledge on those in my sphere of influence in a way that they can receive it and retain it. My favorite pieces to play are marches, particularly In Storm and Sunshine, Hostrausser's March and Rolling Thunder, and various symphonic band pieces, while I like listening to jazz, film scores and Bad Bunny, among other genres and artists. I look forward to teaching and learning with you through music!
