About Me

Hi, my name is Abby Greenwald-, and I am an experienced performing artist and educator of students-all ages, levels, and styles. My specialties are beginning to advanced voice, flute and beginning piano through 2nd year. Throughout my career, I have had the good fortune to study in three universities and with several top professional artists privately. Nothing gives me more joy than helping performing arts students to achieve their personal and professional goals!

Formal Education:

BA in theater arts from San Francisco State University and MS degree in mental health ministry from Grand Canyon University.

Private Education:

I have had the good fortune to study many years with several top artists privately, including singers Bobby McFerrin, Mark Murphy, Davida Kagan, Arden Kaywin, flutists Paul Horn, Adele Zeitlin, and Seattle Repertory theater/television actress, Eve Roberts.

Performing Experience:

Having directed and played/ sung in over 30 musicals, (including the Sound of Music, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Charlie Brown, and Kismet), as countless jazz and classical ensembles, I currently still perform regularly in several local churches. Details available on request.

Experience Teaching:

Since 1969, I started to teaching flute at age 17, then voice from 25 on, and piano since 2022, I have never stopped studying state of the art techniques, which I enjoy passing on to my students!
