I’m Evan, a pianist, keyboardist, and producer based in Long Island, NY. I hold an A.A. in Classical Piano Performance and a Studio Recording Technology certificate from Nassau Community College. I perform and record in a wide range of styles, with a strong background in classical, rock, blues, R&B, pop, funk, and hip hop. My lessons balance solid fundamentals—technique, rhythm, and music theory—with a modern, song-based approach so students can play music they enjoy and understand how it works. If a student is interested, I can also introduce basic recording and production skills using keyboards and DAWs.
Evan S. has over 3 years of music experience in the Plainview area.

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner - Intermediate
Hands-on production in Logic/FL/Pro Tools: setup, gain staging, MIDI/beat programming, arranging, tracking, editing, and mixing. We’ll use practical theory (chords, voicings, harmony, form) to guide songwriting and recording decisions. Goal-based lessons to finish songs or polish mixes. Recommended: DAW + 2i2, closed-back headphones, simple mic.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect a relaxed but focused lesson that mixes songs they choose with technique, reading, and music theory. We’ll break music down step by step, develop healthy hand position and rhythm, and apply chords and harmony to improvise, play along, and start writing your own ideas. I’m comfortable across classical, rock, blues, R&B, pop, funk, hip hop, and more, and we always connect theory to real songs. If you’re interested, we can also integrate keyboards with DAWs and use those theory tools in your own songwriting and recording.
