About Me

Hi there! My name is Isabella! I have been playing music for 20 years now!! I started playing as a child, when my grandfather, who was a middle school band director, started teaching me how to play the trumpet! Over the years, band and orchestra were the parts of my day I looked forward to the most! I ended up filling my high school schedule with music classes and took everything from choir to jazz band! After high school, I marched with the 2015 Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps in their euphonium section. It was one of the most formative experiences in my life as a young adult, and more importantly, as a musician! I am in school for music education at Pikes Peak State College! I play the trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, bass guitar, ukulele, upright bass double bass, cello, viola, piano, and teach vocals as well.

Formal Education:

I graduated high school from Porter High School in Porter, Texas, majored in music education at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and am working on my BA in Music here in Colorado at PPSC!

Experience Teaching:

I started teaching when I was still in high school. As a senior, I would work with the younger students in our band and lead sectioned rehearsals. In college, I worked with younger children and taught them to read! (that was probably my favorite, honestly!!!) Outside of music, I helped teach in the restaurant industry. I've managed a few different teams and have collaborated with individuals-a lot of times working their first job-working towards accomplishing a unified goal!
