Hello, my name is Alexis and I have been a music educator for 6 years and a musician for 12 years. It was when my mother introduced me to Spanish rock is when my interest for music and guitar developed. I started teaching myself songs on the guitar and attended the Chicago High School for the Arts. I studied Classical and Jazz guitar while my interest also went for Latin jazz and Salsa. I graduated as Jazz studies major at UIC and now I have been playing and teaching Latin jazz, jazz, rock, Spanish rock, pop, blues, classical on the guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and as well as the tres cubano.
