Hi, my name is Clint and I am a Worship Leader from Edmond, OK. I have been a student of music for over 20 years. I can play and teach multiple instruments that can get you and your friends or family ready to start a band! My musical influences include everything from Classic 70s rock, modern indie rock, blues, acoustic folk music, worship music, to anything that makes me want to bob my head and sing to! I also enjoy jamming on the spot with other musicians and writing music. My teaching style can best be described as chill and immediately applicable. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I love diving deep into music theory, but playing music is what drives the heart. My students love being able to go home after a lesson with a new skill to enjoy using and not just homework. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to play your instrument alone or with a band, how to use your knowledge and skills to create your own music or cover your favorite songs just by listening to them, and you will learn how to read various forms of music charts that will set you up for success when trying out for future gigs. I like to tell my students, “If you aren’t enjoying what you’re playing, then you are doing it all wrong. Music is passion and shouldn’t be made into work.” My favorite thing about teaching is unlocking peoples abilities that they never dreamed of having before. My favorite times playing music has always been Sunday morning services at my church. Getting to play and sing with a live band to God is my favorite part about music and playing for that purpose gives my music so much more life and fulfillment. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
