About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Shakti, and I have been deeply passionate about music from a very young age. I began teaching myself the piano at age 5 and later the violin at age 10. I began my professional music career in playing the guitar at age 14, playing in music festivals and live music venues, specialising in all kinds of music like Flamenco guitar, Celtic violin, Mariachi, world music, rock and roll, classic rock, r’n’b, and much more. I’ve been a part of many orchestras, ensembles, and bands, and I currently reside and partake in teaching students of all ages as that is my ultimate passion. I so enjoy teaching others the profound impact music has on the heart and soul. I am very proficient in learning by ear, as I like to include in my repertoire of teaching others on how to do so as well as in learning other methods such as tablature, reading music, and etc. I look forward to teaching you or your kiddos and in getting to know you and your favourite music styles!
