About Me

Riley has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano, guitar and singing at a very early age and continued his education with a more hands-on approach. Performing in local theaters, writing + releasing his own music, and touring have given him real life experience in not only the fundamentals of music, but also the magic of it. His musical influences include Billy Joel and The Killers. Riley's favorite thing about music is that it is always there for you! No matter what you are feeling, music is one of the greatest expressions we have. His favorite thing about teaching music is helping someone fall in love with creation! You have the power in your voice or at your fingertips to CREATE something beautiful and all you have to do it try! When taking lessons with Riley you can expect the unexpected! Private Education:

Most of my childhood was spent in classical piano lessons that I loathed haha! My mom would set a timer for 30 minutes of practice everyday and I would sneak in when she wasn't paying attention and lower the time! I learned that I wanted music to be fun and life-giving to me, not some task I had to complete. I spent the rest of my growing up years learning guitar, acting in local theater, songwriting and touring! I want to use the experiences I've had and lessons I've learned to set you up for success!

Performing Experience:

I've spent most of my life on stages performing in churches, theaters, studios, and weddings. After high school I began traveling and singing full time all around the country for a nationally recognized event band ( I even got to spin Meryl Streep around the dance floor this summer at a wedding like I was in one of her movies). Every opportunity I've been given with music has shaped me and equipped me with confidence and competency and I'd love to help offer the same to you!

Experience Teaching:

I have taught on and off case-by-case over the last couple of years. I have a non-traditional teaching style in the sense that I want to do what works for YOU. If that means taking breaks or teaching something in a different way, we will discover what works best for you and encourages your curiosity to learn and grow more!
