I teach beginner piano, focusing on entry-level sight reading and foundational performance skills. I take a thoughtful, supportive approach to help students feel comfortable and confident at the piano while building strong technical habits. My goal is to guide beginners in developing their skills steadily and meaningfully over time, creating a solid foundation for continued growth. (Also good for those who want to learn how to play basic piano to back themselves up while singing.)

I teach sight singing, music theory, aural skills, stage presence, and songwriting. Students can expect to analyze and break down pieces of music to strengthen their understanding and technique. Lessons also provide the opportunity to work on songs of their choice, helping them build confidence and refine their performance skills.

Students should expect to spend lessons exploring songwriting concepts such as building meaningful lyrics, shaping melodies, crafting strong hooks, and bringing their ideas to life.
