Hello! I have been a student of music for six years. My musical influences include Prince, Bob Weir, Stu Mackenzie, and I also enjoy most other bands that have seen the sun. My teaching style can best be described as “What can I do to make you feel like the rock star you see in the mirror?” My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I do not believe that any student should feel like there are limitations to the music they want to play. Music is for everyone and that’s what I teach. In my lessons, you can expect to learn all of the basics in a very fun way that is tailored to the student after learning where they are in their journey. I like to tell my students “practice makes progress, if you strive for perfection you will never want to pick up your instrument.” My favorite thing about teaching is getting to see everything make sense and getting to be apart of what I experienced years ago. My favorite performance was King Giz live from Forest Hills 2024. I primarily teach Rock and Jazz but I can also teach most genres except for Latin music. My approach as a teacher is to letting the student learn what they need for their success. I also have about 4 years of recording experience that I like to teach for the sake of getting to play with a full band even if you don’t have it just yet. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
