About Me

Hi there! Paul is an active performer-composer-educator with over 25 years of experience playing and teaching music and he’s eager to work with you to reach your musical goals! His specialties include instruction on woodwinds saxophone and clarinet in particular as well as beginner lessons on piano. He approaches his pedagogy through strong foundations in music theory and education but, at the same time, gives priority to fun and intuition, always looking to nurture our love for music. Additionally, he brings plenty of practical experience to his teaching. Across his career, he's toured and played all over the world—as soloist with symphony orchestras, with popular music stars like the Four Tops, O’jays, and Temptations, with cruise ship dance bands on global voyages—he was even featured at Carnegie Hall with his jazz quintet at the age of 20. Throughout his performance itinerary, he's also taught music in several international settings—including Mexico, Mozambique, India, Sri Lanka, and throughout Europe. He loves mentoring students of all ages and through diverse styles of music, and whether you're a beginner or a more-advanced player, he can help you expand and enhance your playing and love for music.
