With over a decade of experience playing both in Texas and across the Northeast, Saxophonist Ricoprovides what George Garzone describes as a “musical relaxation and understanding of the highest level”. Spending time at both Berklee College of Music and the University of North Texas, he has consistently involved himself in the musical ecosystem, evolving into a vibrant voice in modern jazz and contemporary music. Through studying and playing with heavy hitters such as Lello Molinari, Steven Feifke, and George Garzone, Rico has absorbed flavors and textures from music all across the musical sphere, often incorporating them into live improvisation and spontaneous composition.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
In my lessons, students should be prepared to think outside the box. Creative problem solving, connection to your instrument, and fluidity/ control are priorities, and over time these techniques will shape you into a rounded and proficient player.

Performing Experience:
I've been performing jazz and classical music since I was 16. Once in college, I enjoyed going on short tours, performing at various venues, and playing for weddings and house parties. Recently I've involved myself with R+B, Rock, and Metal bands, adding a contemporary saxophone sound to different projects in and outside of Texas.
Experience Teaching:
I have experience with beginners to professionals of all ages, and I believe every student has unique needs to optimize learning.
