About Me

Hi, my name is Cassandra and I am a piano and voice teacher from Fredericksburg, Virginia. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Taya Smith, Alicia Keys, Brooke Ligertwood, and Lauren Daigle. I also enjoy classical music by Mozart. My teaching style can best be described as personalized, fun, and both people-and goal-focused. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe anyone can learn to make music-it just takes dedication, patience, and passion. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to overcome learning hurdles and find joy and victory in our pursuit of musical excellence. I like to tell my students I was not born knowing how to play or sing. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students conquer learning challenges and be a part of their sweet and fun appreciation for life and music. My favorite performance was my Senior Worship Program at Liberty University, where I led worship with vocals and directed a full choir and live band to the medley arrangement I created of the contemporary Christian song, "Worthy of It All," and the classical hymn, "I Need Thee Every Hour." My students love that I care for them. I primarily teach voice and piano, but I can also teach guitar.
