About Me

Hi, my name is Brian, I am a drummer from St Louis. I have been a student of music for 25 years. My musical influences include Rob Silverman, Spirit of St Louis Drum Corps, Church, & Normandy High School Drumline. and I also enjoy Engineering & Digital Production. My teaching style can best be described as student centered. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I work with students' strengths. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to properly hold sticks & receive the basic music lessons in drum rudiments. I like to tell my students to practice whenever they can. My favorite thing about teaching is the joy & fulfilment that individuals receive. My favorite performance was the battle of the bands Stlouis & Atlanta. My students love that I listen and can also teach by ear. I primarily teach drums, but I can also teach a little music theory.
