Timothy P.

Hi, my name is Timothy. I am a guitarist originally from Cleveland and currently residing in Harlem. I have been a student of music for 15 years and have gained most of my experience through performance. In addition to performing, I hold a degree in Jazz Guitar from the Oberlin Conservatory. My musical influences include Grant Green, Charlie Parker, Muddy Waters, and many more. My teaching style can best be described as patient, effective, and individualized for each of my students. My teaching philosophy is centered on understanding what you want to get out of lessons and then working together as a team to achieve those goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn theory, technique, reading, and—most importantly—your favorite songs! My students appreciate that I cater to their individual needs while ensuring consistent improvement. I primarily teach guitar, but I also teach bass guitar.
