My name is Matty, I’m a professional touring guitarist with extensive real-world experience performing, recording, and collaborating across a wide range of styles, with a strong foundation in country, rock, and modern pop music. I’ve spent years on the road playing live shows, working in studio settings, and adapting to the demands of professional musicianship—everything from learning material quickly to locking in with a band and serving the song. As a teacher, my goal is to help students build practical skills they can actually use, whether that’s solid rhythm playing, lead techniques, theory that makes sense, or developing confidence and feel. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, skill level, and musical interests, keeping things fun while still challenging and structured. I’m passionate about helping students not only improve technically, but also understand how music works in real performance situations—and most importantly, enjoy the process of learning and playing music.
