Benicio has always loved music from an early age. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and continued his education by studying guitar at Nashville School of the Arts. His musical influences include Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Velvet Underground, Black Sabbath, Miles Davis, Metallica, The Cure, Nick Cave, John Fahey, My Chemical Romance, Narciso Yepes, Pavement, Prince, Sleep, Dinosaur Jr, and Television. Benicio's favorite thing about music is the connection you get with others through this wonderful art form and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping people explore and refine their passion. One of his favorite teaching experiences was getting a student to have a unique style that was tailored to their taste.
