Darian has always loved music from an early age. She began playing double bass at the age of 13. She has been playing for over 5 years and is currently a double bass performance major at Temple University. Her musical influences include the double bass virtuosos Edgar Meyer and Gary Karr. Darian's favorite thing about music is the community that comes with making music with others and her favorite thing about teaching music is fostering an environment of growth and creativity. One of her favorite teaching experiences was seeing the spark of her first student picking up an instrument and making their first sound.
