Thomas began playing drums in the fourth grade. Over the years, he developed his skills further through percussion classes + private lessons/instruction, on drumset, concert percussion, and marching percussion. He gained performance experience in the Northern VA + greater east coast areas ranging up to New York through performing at venues such as regional concert assessments, local band gigs, Jazz ensemble, WGI World Championships, DCI World Championships, and more! Though Thomas can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jazz + RnB which had great influence on his style of playing. Thomas loves music because it is a peace promoting vocation, and he loves teaching music because music is a universal language, a gift.
