Hi, my name is Errol! I am a cellist, singer, composer, and teacher from New Orleans. I have been playing cello for 17 years, and I have a BA in Music from Grinnell College. My teaching style can best be described as student-centered. My teaching philosophy is to focus on technique, theory, and foundational skills while considering my students' interests and learning styles. I want to build confidence in my students by giving them some control of their curriculum. When students get to choose songs they want to learn and techniques that intrigue them, they are more likely to follow through on practice. I primarily teach voice and cello at a beginner to advanced level, but I can also teach violin, viola, and piano up to an intermediate level.
