Josh is a professional trumpet player with extensive experience performing at the highest orchestral and band levels. Currently he serves as a member of the United States Army Field Band, with additional performance experience including substitute trumpet with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, a regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago(Training orchestra of the Chicago Symphony), 3rd trumpet with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and subs with multiple regional symphony orchestras throughout the Midwest. Josh holds advanced conservatory training from the Colburn Conservatory and Michigan State University, where hew developed a strong technical foundation, stylistic versatility, and professional musicianship. Josh's festival and fellowship experience includes the Aspen Music Festival, Spoleto USA, Music Academy of the West, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Brass Institute, performing alongside leading artists and conductors in highly competitive environments. Recognized nationally through competition success and selective fellowships, Josh brings disciplined preparation, reliability, and consistent execution under pressure to every performance and organization.
