About Me

Hi, my name is Summer and I am a Singer/Songwriter from Fort Worth, TX. I have been a working artist for 15+ years. My musical influences include my older brother, Vincent Neil Emerson and I also enjoy Folk style music. My teaching style can best be described as a "no pressure" environment, Growth comes from encouragement. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that any music lover, regardless of any circumstance, should be introducedto music in a kind way. In my lessons, you can expect to learn a variety of different vocal styles, Rythm guitar, an ear for Banjo, and If I do my job right, a passion for music that can never be squashed! I like to tell my students that we are our own worst critics, the ability to learn is there for EVERYONE! My favorite thing about teaching is that I feel a sense of pride in bringing happiness and self confidence to another individual. My favorite performance was the time I opened for the notorious "Squirrel Nut Zippers" at The Kessler-Dallas! My students love that I am kind and original. I primarily teach Vocals, but I can also teach Songwriting, Rythym guitar both acousticand electric, and some "by ear" Banjo! I have 15 years experience with horseback riding Instruction of all ages.-I also have vocal teacher experience from School Of Rock
