Kalyn H.

Kalyn is a Barbadian American composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in the Chicago area. With a background in vocal performance and a Master’s in composition, her emotionally rich music spans film, podcasts, dance, and self-released albums. Known for her skill in melody, harmony, and sound design, and teaching Kalyn uses music as a tool for storytelling and social change. Kalyn owns and operates Black Opal Productions out of which she produces and records her own compositions as well as compositions for Dance and Film. Kalyn has a strong passion for teaching others about music, the voice, and songwriting and is dedicated to creating individualized lessons based on students interests needs and goals!
