About Me

Antonio began playing saxophone at the age of 10. Over the years, he developed his skills through school programs and private instruction with world-class musicians, participating in choir, concert band, jazz band, garage bands, gigging, recording, and music production. He gained extensive performance experience throughout Kansas and Missouri, performing as a soloist and with groups in a wide range of settings including street busking, churches, college choir tours, and live music venues such as Danny’s Big Easy, Legends 14, The Phoenix Club KC, The Matchbox, Bermudas, Knuckleheads, Riot Room, Aftershock, and Verizon Amphitheater. Antonio has also opened for nationally recognized acts including Anthony Hamilton, Bizzy Bone, and Hopsin Funk Volume. Though Antonio can teach many different instruments and styles—including piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, clarinet, vocals, xylophone, recording, and music production—his personal musical favorites are neo-soul, jazz, and indie, which have greatly influenced his approach and style. His playing and teaching are inspired by artists such as Carlos Santana, Feng Suave, Frank Sinatra, and The Beatles. Antonio loves music because it is free to create and transcends limitation. He loves teaching music because of the many years he has dedicated to understanding music as a form of communication; teaching this universal language allows him to help unlock free thinking, creativity, and innovation in future generations. Whether working with children, young adults, or adults—from beginners to intermediate players, songwriters, and performers—Antonio is passionate about helping each student expand and enhance their musical abilities.
