Courtney began playing clarinet at the age of 9. Over the years, she developed her skills further by being in the band, joining clinics, and then college. She gained performance experience in the Starkville area by playing at such venues as MSU and with experience teaching as a guitar instructor at the university for children. Though Courtney can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are 1940s and Jazz, which had great influence on her style of playing. Courtney loves music because it fills up with love, and loves teaching music because it is another tool of connection. Whether you are a beginner or a young adult, Courtney can help you expand and enhance your playing. Courtney is excited to learn how she can help you reach your musical goals. Mississippi State University and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Spent 4 years in Jazz Band, 6 years in Marching and concert Band. Overall been in band since 2006!

Private lessons with-Guitar/ Bass Guitar, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, and with Alto/Tenor Saxophone!

Performed in MSU band, CLCC Jazz Band, as well as other ensembles.
