Lycia began playing piano at the age of 5. Over the years, she developed her skills further by practicing and performing. She gained performance experience in the Vancouver, Canada area by playing at church events, school and community performances and with acts such as piano, organist and vocal soloist. Though Lycia can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical, ragtime, and baroque which had great influence on her style of playing. Lycia loves music because it's a form of communication and loves teaching music because it's universal, and anyone can create music.
