I am a classical guitar instructor with four years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and skill levels. My formal training includes two years of classical guitar study under Fred Benedetti at Grossmont College, where I developed a strong foundation in technique, musicianship, and repertoire. I also performed as a member of the guitar ensemble at Southwestern College, gaining valuable ensemble and performance experience. In addition to my classical background, I bring versatility to my teaching through hands-on experience in rock music. I spent three years playing in a rock band, focusing primarily on alternative rock, which broadened my musical perspective and performance skills. This blend of classical training and contemporary experience allows me to adapt my teaching style to each student’s interests while building solid musical fundamentals.
