Review About Me
I play piano/accordion and I compose in Just Intonation. I am also an ethnomusicologist. I can assess a student and tailor a lesson plan. I will help the student hone their inner voice and use their instinct and sixth sense. I will provide a broad scope but also pay attention to the pedagogy needed to learn musical vocabulary. I can teach piano, accordion, voice, improvisation, ear training, composition, arranging, music appreciation, and just intonation. I am well rooted in the Classical/Romantic tradition as well as 20th century jazz and modern music. I currently play in a 1920's dixieland jazz band. I have a keen interest in Just Intonation and compose using the ancient tuning systems using micro-tuning software. I also love world music and compose using ethnic tunings. I'm an avid fan of silent and foreign film.

Private Education:
Piano/ear training from 6 years old to age 18 and all throughout my college years. I am an autodidact and perfectly self motivated to learn anything. I taught myself Just Intonation because there are no schools that teach it. My abilities go beyond a traditional music education.
