Hey, this is Javier. I’ve been playing drums since I was 14 years old and I’m very excited to teach and keep practicing this beautiful instrument, the drums. I am from Ecuador and have played drums with many bands throughout my experience. I am a former drummer of Replika EC (Ecuador) and currently the drummer for Day Friend here in Austin, TX. I have also independently built strong experience as a drum instructor, teaching especially kids and focusing on the basics of drumming while helping students grow their personal drum skills. I have taught at the Música y Armonía Institute in Manta, Ecuador, and was a member of the conservatory in my city, Manta, Ecuador. I am an educational drummer dedicated to using rhythm as a tool for learning and personal growth. Through structured lessons and creative practice, I help students develop timing, coordination, musical understanding, and confidence, making learning drums both engaging and meaningful.
