Hi, my name is Maren and I am a singer, conductor, and composer from Connecticut. I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences range from Brahms and Leonard Bernstein, to Phoebe Bridgers, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young! My teaching style is great for students interested in classical, musical theatre, and folk/pop singing. I was classically trained and performed in musicals throughout my high school and university career. I am also experienced with regional music festival auditions and have successfully prepared many students in the past. It is important to me that my students are always singing something they enjoy, and I want to help you become exactly the singer you want to be. In my lessons, you can expect to learn foundational singing technique, basic music theory to support your singing, and classical/pop techniques depending on your goals and interests. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students get excited about what we’re learning.
