About Me

I’m a guitarist and musician with years of hands on experience, currently studying Jazz Studies at Texas State University. I’ve performed in big bands and festivals, worked across a wide range of genres, and spent a long time developing a deep understanding of music theory, improvisation, and ear training. I don’t just play notes. I focus on why they work, and I enjoy helping students discover that same clarity in their own playing. I’ve had my own frustrations as a student, especially with instructors who explained things in confusing or vague ways. Because of that, I make it a priority to explain concepts clearly and directly. No guessing and no being expected to just feel it. I want you to actually understand what’s happening so you can apply it with confidence. As an instructor, my goal is to make music feel exciting, personal, and approachable. Whether you want to improvise with confidence, understand harmony, or simply feel more comfortable on your instrument, I meet you where you are and help you grow without taking away the joy that made you want to play in the first place!
