About Me

Jessica has always loved music from an early age. She began playing piano at the age of 7 and trombone at the age of 10, and continued her education by attending the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, studying music education. Although she now works as a classroom teacher, Jessica spends all of her free time playing music in a variety of community groups around the Colorado Springs area, including the Bare Bones Trombone Choir and New Horizons Symphonic Band. Jessica's favorite thing about playing music is the feeling of being a tiny part of a big machine, all working together to create something beautiful. Her favorite thing about teaching music is watching students experience that moment when a new skill or idea "clicks".
