Brent has loved music from a very young age. From the moment his parents showed him the game "Rock Band," he has been hooked on playing drums. Over 12 years of playing in jazz bands, concert bands, marching bands, and contemporary bands led to him pursuing a career in music. Brent's favorite thing about music is how it can evoke such strong emotions, and his favorite thing about teaching music is sharing that feeling with others. One of his favorite teaching experiences was when he taught drum lessons to an elderly couple so that they could play their favorite song together "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor When taking lessons with Brent, you can expect a fun time learning how to rock out! What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students should expect a fun time learning fundamentals along with their own interests. Exercises spanning from snare drum to full drum set will be a great indicator of improvement between lessons. Each student will be taught a personalized curriculum, meant to match their strengths and weaknesses
Formal Education:
Brent graduated from West View High School in 2021 after being in their marching and concert band all four years. He then went to Cal Poly Pomona where he received a B.A. in Music Industry Studies and graduated in 2025
Performing Experience:
Brent has performed in several bands throughout his career, and is currently playing in two (HRSHYBOY and Macarthur)
