John started his musical life by taking piano lessons at 10 years of age. He began taking guitar lessons at age 14 and has never stopped playing. Over the years he has toured the US extensively with several different musical acts, and performed at many music festivals. He also enjoys attending songwriter retreats and workshops. John is especially interested in blues, Americana, and rock and roll. His specialty is playing slide guitar and he's well versed in alternate tunings and chord structures. He also enjoys building and playing 4 string cigar box guitars.
