Hi! My name is Hayden and I am a performing guitarist in the New York City Area. I have experience teaching guitar with children between the ages of 5-15, and would love to be a part of your program. Below are some details of my previous experience. I currently work as a Guitar Teacher at Church Street Music School, where I teach both individual and group lessons to students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. My teaching approach emphasizes building strong musical foundations while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and confidence. I tailor lessons to each student’s interests, helping them engage with music they love while challenging them to expand their technical and musical range. In addition to teaching, I am an active performing and recording musician. I have performed live for over seven years, released a full-length album under the name Finnegan, and have experience across multiple genres, including rock, jazz, and contemporary music. My background includes three years of jazz ensemble performance and formal coursework in technical music theory, which allows me to break down complex concepts in an accessible and exciting way for students.
