About Me

Hello, my name is Keziah. I was raised by an opera singer and have been exposed to classical and other forms of music all my life. My primary musical concentration is voice. I have a Batchlor's degree in music education. I have taken private voice lessons for 6+ years. I have participated in NATS and local talent shows, as well as street singing fairly regularly for the past 3+ years. I have also performed in and work behind the scenes in several musicals and regularly sing in church. I am seeking to start a masters in vocal pedagogy. At a very young age, I started playing piano by ear, sinse than I have taken more standard piano lessons. My piano instruction includes traditional piano lessons as well as piano lessons geared towards theory and transposition. I feel that I would do very well with young students teaching basic or beginning piano and theory. When I was as a young teen, I started band. I have played Trumpet 7 years, Tuba 3 years, French Horn 1 year and Euphonium principle chair in college concert band, 1 semester. I have played Trumpet, Tuba, and Euphonium in college band. I have also taught elementary and basic music in a class room setting. I really enjoyed teaching and would be interesting in teaching basic music as well.
