Hello, I’m Lara. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I have always found so much joy in singing and playing from a young age. My first experience that really showed me the power of connection through music was when I was a part of an all women’s choir in middle school and advanced ensemble in high school. In those days, I always watched my brother play the guitar and it inspired me to eventually pick up the guitar when I was 17, and start my own band that played original shows with other Local and regional touring bands around my hometown of Myrtle Beach SC. Since then, I have played in many different bands, acoustic duos, and solo gigs around the Carolinas and up and down the east coast. For the last 5 years, I have been writing songs, as well as playing guitar and singing with the band WeSawABear as a duo and full band doing everything from original shows to bar gigs to weddings and everything in between. It would bring me great joy to get more experience teaching and sharing my skills with not only the next generation, but also with people who have always wanted to pursue music
