Hi, my name is Austin and I am a music educator and composer based in St. Louis, MO. I have been a student of music for over 20 years. My musical influences include contemporary classical and electronic music, and I also enjoy improvisation and production. My teaching style is creative, focused, and student-centered. My teaching philosophy is to help students become independent, imaginative musicians. In my lessons, you can expect to learn piano, guitar, or music production while building strong skills in theory, listening, and composition. I like to tell my students that the goal is to discover their own musical voice. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students grow confident and expressive. My students love that each lesson follows a personalized plan. I primarily teach piano, guitar, and music composition, but I can also teach theory, music production, and music technology.
