Hi, I’m Brittney, and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I come from a deeply musical family—my grandfather and uncles played in bands, and my dad still performs regularly in Arizona. Growing up surrounded by musicians gave me early exposure not only to performing, but to rehearsals, stage setup, sound checks, and the behind-the-scenes work that makes live music happen. I began formal music education in fourth grade and continued through high school, participating in ensemble performances, state competitions, and large-scale events, including performances at the Mall of America. I’ve also performed at weddings, talent shows, block parties, and other community events, which helped me build strong stage confidence and practical performance experience. My musical influences include Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood, Adele, Pharrell Williams, and Bruno Mars—not only for their performance abilities, but for their behind-the-scenes contributions through songwriting, production, and collaboration with other artists. Those influences shaped my appreciation for music as both a creative craft and a collaborative process. As an instructor, my approach is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I believe music should feel approachable and enjoyable, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, and building confidence. My focus is on fundamentals, practical application, and helping students develop their own musical voice at a pace that works for them. I look forward to sharing my passion for music and helping students grow in a way that feels inspiring and achievable.
