About Me
My name is Rachel and I’m a pianist living in Lorain, OH. I have 8+ years of experience teaching private students. I currently work as a church pianist, and I really enjoy collaborating with other musicians. I am inspired by a wide variety of musical styles, especially great Romantic pianists like Chopin and Schubert. My strengths as a teacher include my patience and methodical approach, so my students can expect to be both challenged and encouraged during our lessons.

Formal Education:
I received a BA in Music degree with an emphasis in performance from Freed-Hardeman University in 2008.
Private Education:
I began piano lessons at age 6 (which I think is a great time to begin!) way back in 1993!
Performing Experience:
My performance experiences range from recitals as a soloist, to collaborating with both vocalists and instrumentalists, to providing music for weddings and religious services. In 2025 I hosted two benefit concerts to raise funds for charity. I currently work as the pianist and choral accompanist for my local church.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught primarily school age students, but I would welcome anyone who is eager to learn!
